Photoshop is still the best.Nothing come close.I use photoshop or paint.Any of these would be good to go. But, the one I use mostly is paint as it is very SIMPLE for me to use. As for photoshop, am learning as I go. I have bought some videos and ebooks on them, even sitting to learn it is tiring cos there are so maany things to read. But, I can quickly open paint and do whatever
I choose to do.

You can get photoshop in computer village for 200naira. If you don't want to go to Ikeja, download gimp then.

By the grace of God she will recover sooner than later and you will have peace of mind to give us beneficial postings. May Almighty God help us all.

I am visiting your second site right away.

@ Adetutu - You mentioned Photoshop or Paint and also stated how one can get Photoshop software i.e 'in computer village for N200.'  What of 'Paint'? How can one procure that one?   Since you said it is simplier, I want to lay my hand on it.

Thanks for your quick response.

You don't need to buy paint. It's already in your computer. It's even in your MOB course, where you can do a screenshot and paste in the paint program. And there you can do all your working around.

It's the simplest program I've ever come across. Try check the MOB course, I think lesson 5. It shows you how you can assess the paint program. But, you will still need to play around with it before you can use to create graphics like your header, banners e.t.c

The graphic header you saw on my blog that you saw in my forum signature was designed using paint. And if you go to paint.net, you can also use that one too when it has been downloaded.

To add to the ones already mentioned by olajideadetutu, Here are two great free online image editors:

I personally use pixlr whenever I need to quickly create banners or simple graphics. Most of our banners on our sites were done using Pixlr but the others are equally good too.

To get the tutorials just search Google with the name of the application together with tutorial or tips e.g pixlr tutorials, pixlr tips etc

@ Adetutu - Thanks for your detailed and educative piece.  I now remember vividly reading something about 'Screenshot and Paste".  I will go back to do more detailed reading.

Jpg or png is okay.

PNG is very sharp but PNG files are slightly larger than jpg and some older browsers dont handle png well.

JPG (also JPEG) is also clear and is the most widely used.

gif is usually best for black and white, single color or animated graphics
