Nigerian Chief Judge in The Gambia caught on tape.

Nigerian acting chief judge in The Gambia was caught on tape negotiating bribe, now Nigerians working there in the justice ministry are derogatorily called names.

A sad development for our judiciary's image as we have successfully exported our home grown ills.

Sad indeed.

With what is happening today not only in our country alone but mostly in Africa, I begin to wonder how the near future will look like. I can see that indeed our elders especially those in the authority have woefully failed us. I sincerely think that it’s time they give us the youths a chance to come in and help them shaping our future for all of us and our generations to come.

Let me use an analogy to explain in more details what I see in our country today. It’s like a big river that has a kind of channel of streams; this river is constantly being polluted. Do you know what will happen to those streams of water after some time? It may seem as if that the waters from those streams are still clean but after a while, sooner or later the polluted water will start mixing with good waters and very soon the entire streams of waters will be polluted. And when this happens, everybody in the nation will be highly affected in one way or the other.

What is the way out?

@ Winnet -  I quite agree with your analogy.  The rot in our country ought to have been nib in the bud 20 years back but today here we are.  It is just like from fry-pan to fire.  Things are getting worse day in day out.  In my opinion, it seems everybody in Nigeria has been affected including the youths you are clamouring for.  Our President is not an old man, likewise some governors and both upper and lower Houses of Assembly.

It is business as usual - until something happens.....

Best regards,

Aare MacFally
