It could mean that you've almost exhausted the space given to you by your host company to host your website. But you can still verify by contacting them.

Yes Yunchcheda, St Vics is right, you may be exceeding the bandwidth you paid for when paying for your hosting plan.
May be you have been posting more than you bought for your website.  You have to upgrade and you do need to contact your hosting company. hope someone comes along to help you out on how to go about it.

Yunchenda, are you getting the message as a comment or the message is comming from your host? Or are you sure its not comming from your modem inbox messages? Bandwidth means the amount of space allocated to your site from your host server. Just like what St.vicks said, contact your host and relate the issue to them. Who are you hosting with and whats the amount of hosting space you have on your site. You can log on to your control panel to check this.

Hosting space and bandwidth are two different things. Bandwidth is measured monthly and depends on the traffic that you have and usually the more traffic you have, the more bandwidth your website will consume in a month.

But disk space is the fixed amount of storage space that your host allows you to store the actual files, downloads, images and pages that make up your website. Disk space is fixed and not measured monthly and unless your website contains lots of large size files or downloads, you wont easily run out of disk space.

If you are running out of bandwidth then you have two choices: Upgrade to a plan with more bandwidth or do nothing. Bandwidth is measured monthly and reset every month so If you dont do anything and it eventually runs out, your site will go down but will come back up again at the beginning of the next month.
but

When you start seeing these bandwidth messages, its time to consider upgrading your hosting plan so if you do not know what to do, contact them and they will tell you.
