question about keywords

please i have been trying to read about keywords in the materials but my confusion is that i have been trying to study some other blogs that rank high on google but they dont even have a niche. they talk on everything. i decided to look deep into them and i cant find any re-occuring words which as i have been reading are supposed to be the keywords that google would be lookin for when the goglebots crawl the website. so how then do they rank high?
and about keyword use, does it mean it just depends on how many times you use the keyword in your posts? Not just how many times you use it in your blog in general?
also is there a way to submit your keywords to google just incase someone types your keyword into google, google would bring out your website?

First of all I will suggest that you re-read the Lesson on keyword research all over again from the beginning because it seems that you are still mixing up some of the concepts.

When you say rank high on Google, what exactly do they rank high for? What did you search for when they came up in the results? The words that you type in to get these websites are the words that you should be looking out for and not reoccuring words.
Note that you don't just "rank high in the search engine". You have to rank high for a particular search term or phrase. For example, a certain page may show as number two in the search result when someone searches for "Facebook advertising in Nigeria" but may be number 25,000 in the result when someone searches for "Television advertising for Africans". Hope you get it. anyway just read that lesson all over again.

Both the number of times the keyword (or its derivatives) are used in your posts, your page design and your blog and archives all contribute to whether you will rank, in addition to several other factors. But its not just a matter of repeating the keywords as many times as you like. There is a method to it. Also too much repetition is bad. Most times you cant tell what a page was optimized for by looking for repeating words. Many times a page would even rank high for keywords that it was not optimized for. If there was a simple way, everyone would be doing it. But unfortunately, there isn't. For now the closest you can get to that is through SEO. Having a well optimized page with Good quality content is like telling Google that your site is good enough to rank high for whatever you are trying to target
