Beloved! This seems not to be clear to me bt if I may ask, which free hosting services do you use? And which code in particular do u want to copy? Is it to install wordpress on ur new hosting account or what?

Register or Login where i install wordpress and customize it 4 a coporate site. But now i ve register my real domain name and i ve hosted it with another web hosting. Then how can i transfer the site or copy d code 2 the new web hosting, since the domain name is not the same. Thanks.

Hello Lateef,

Moving a website is not as straightforward as just copying the codes.

A wordpress website is made up of:

The theme (This is the visual design aspect)

The database (Contains your content and configuration ooptions.

What you need to do depends on what kind of customization you have done.

1. did you modify the theme code?

2. What exactly are you trying to move? Is it:

- the look?
- the configuration options?
- the content?

3. Do you have access to your actual wordpress files and database on your free host?
Leave it for God, don't worry yourself. Leave it for God, don't cry no more.

For example how can you assess the code of your site You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login

Like I said before, A wordpress website is made up of:

1. The theme (This is the visual design aspect)

2. The database (Contains your content and configuration options.

Moving a wordpress website is not just a matter of moving codes. That's for static websites. Wordpress is a dynamic website and the content and configuration aspect is separate from the design. What exactly do u want to move? The design or the content or the configuration? Do you have access to your database in your free host (that is how you can access the files and database)? Please answer these questions and I will know what to explain to you.

If you are not moving any content, one way to do it is to start fresh, i.e install a fresh installation of wordpress on your new site and go through the motions of installing the separate plugins and installing the same theme you used on the old site.

If you are moving content then you can use the Wordpress export/import blog facility found in your dashboard area under Tools in the left hand menu.
