Hello house members, this has been my concern lately. Does anybody has reliable information about it. If they truly ban the use of ATM use, can we still transact business online. Like me for example, my hosting account is with GoDaddy, also I buy stuff from several online merchants abroad from time to time. If Govt stop the use of master card, what would be the fate of our online businesses that rely on foreign transaction. I need help with this pls. It's causing me a headache.

I really believe the ban is going to be implemented but I think it only affects Naira Mastercard or Naira Visa Cards. If you have a dollar denominated card maybe from a domiciliary account then you can still use those.

Personally, I use my Payoneer Card and GTB Visa (which is connected to my domiciliary account). Those are the cards I use to receive my online earnings and I am still able to spend same dollars even up to yesterday so I don't think the ban can affect those types of cards, so that is one option you can look at.

I would have also suggested UBA Africard or Zenith Visa Gold as another option but it seems that you can only load those with dollars which you have to buy elsewhere and bring to the bank but some months ago banks stopped accepting outside dollars paid in over the counter so as of now I am not sure how viable this option is.

Leave it for God, don't worry yourself. Leave it for God, don't cry no more.

Even if one has a domiciliary account and there is no money in it, you still need to fund it in order to make payment, or am I getting it wrong here? How do one fund it when bank does not accept dollar deposit.

For the Payoneer card, I applied for it long ago but couldn't get it up till now. I thought of PayPal, but the PayPal is kind of connected to my account through the master card. Or once your PayPal account is verified, the card is not necessary?

I'm asking all of this so I can know the way to go before they finally ban it. I don't want to lose my hosting account.

Regarding the domiciliary account, I was only talking about my own case. Luckily, my dom account is what I use to receive some of my online earnings so that's how I have it funded. And regarding the dollar deposit, it was not accepted some months ago but I don't know if that is still the case now (you can go there and find out for sure).

For Paypal I think if your card is a naira card it may not work because the card is still needed by Paypal even after verification. But again, you can try it and see. I might be wrong or you might be lucky.

For dollar deposit, it has been like that for a while. I think it started around October or so. The govt does not want us to spend dollar bcos some useless Nigerians have abused the opportunity. They prefer spending dollar over naira all for their own pride.

Anyway, I know you as a guru of internet marketing and you always have a way out in situations like this. I'm still thinking of the reliable option to use, so I get myself prepared before the almighty govt will do their worst. Join me in the thinking and research please. There is a project I want to embark on this new year, and I'll source my materials from China. If govt do the nonsense they've proposed to do, my dream will be shattered. My hosting account will be gone. My because come to.... In shot I'm disturbed.

Help out pls.

Why not try paypal with your naira card and see if it will go.

I would suggest not to wait for it to expire before trying to renew just in case it doesn't work

As at 4th of Jan 2016,I still bought a digital product and renewed my domain same day using Paypal connected to my naira mastercard.

If you have the cash, just quickly renew it like for 2yrs.

And if the worst ever happens, these guys are ever willing to come to your aid.

I have been using them for more than 5yrs now before paypal started accepting Nigeria. The only disadvantage is that they could be very expensive in most cases.
