The problem could be due to any number of reasons and may not be so easy to pinpoint but:

1. Did you create a database?
2. Were you able to go through the online setup?
3. Are you following any particular set of instructions or you are just working by guesswork?
Leave it for God, don't worry yourself. Leave it for God, don't cry no more.

Thanks for the response bro

Yes i created a DB for it but cant figure out the file that has DB name & password. just in d case of wordpress where u have a config file that you can open and fix in ur DB name and Password.

No i wasnt able to go through the online setup because after uploading through FTP, i got an error message when i tried to check the site on my browser

No instructions really. am uploading the joomla file just the way i upload my wordpress file.

If you could not get to the install screen, the problem is probably from the uploading process because if the upload is successful and you visit your site address, what you will see is the configuration page and thats where you enter your database and other details (see here: You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login)

So since the upload might be the problem, let's start from there:

1. How exactly are you uploading? Which FTP software are you using?
2. Were there any upload errors? Are you sure all the files uploaded correctly?
3. Have you successfully uploaded to your host using same software before?
4. What directory are you uploading to?
5. Do you have another site on same directory?
6. Where are you hosting your site (what company)?
Leave it for God, don't worry yourself. Leave it for God, don't cry no more.
