Hello house! One of my websites is under phishing attack and I don't know how to resolve it. It's a bulk sms website built with Joomla! and hosted by GoDaddy.

House members please guide me on how to resolve this please. Your replies will be highly appreciated. I have attached a screenshot of what is displayed when you try to visit the website. I cannot even access the admin panel any longer. Help! Help! Help! please.

Hello alexis29. It seems that your website has been hacked and a malicious phishing code installed, that's why you are getting the message. If I may ask are you using the most up to date version of Joomla and associated components/add ons? Using older versions or weak passwords could leave your website vulnerable to these things.

This could be a challenge to resolve if you are not very experienced with web development. Perhaps you should contact your host for help or possibly consider restoring your website to a previous backup if you have suchh facility. If you are able to get rid of the malicious code and restore the website back to normal. Please update all software, change your password to a stronger one and finally contact Google to review and possibly remove the phishing notice.

Check your admin email for that website and you might see the message from google telling you that your website was marked as a threat. They usually send the message to info, webmaster and other generic admin emails. If you cant find their message, you could use this link to request a review: You are not allowed to view links. Good luck!

Thanks for your prompt reply. I'm not using the latest version of Joomla, and that's because the bulk sms script is Joomla 2.5 supported only. Thanks for your advice, I will do just what you told me and if I run into any challenge again I will let you know. Once again thank you.

Hello Alexis, so sorry about your hacked site, its really a bad experience. Kindly contact Godaddy, I think they should be able to help, I once had similar issue on one of my bulk sms website and it was resolved by my hosting company; they actually took responsibility cos all joomla websites hosted with them wear hacked.
However you  can try scanning it for possible infected area (s). Use You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login to scan it and see if you can resolve it using the their suggestions.
As boss tony said, once you are able to resolve it, do well to change your password and upgrade your Joomla version and components. Sorry brother, not a good experience.
