Nigerian operator Globacom has unveiled two promos, Glo Overload and Glo Allawee. Glo Overload automatically credits subscribers with 200 percent airtime and a data bonus every time they recharge with NGN 200 or more. Subscribers also stand a chance to win NGN 120 million in cash prizes during the promo. Glo Allawee gives every new customer NGN 18,000 worth of free airtime for calls and text messages.

Under Glo Overload promo, subscribers are guaranteed 200 percent bonus airtime automatically for every airtime recharge of NGN 200 and above. For instance, a subscriber who recharges with NGN 200 will automatically get NGN 600 airtime; a NGN 500 recharge will give the subscriber NGN 1,500 airtime; a NGN 1,000 recharge will give NGN 3,000 airtime to the subscriber; NGN 2,000 recharge will give NGN 6,000 airtime and NGN 5,000 recharge will give the subscriber NGN 15,000 airtime. Subscribers are to dial *200# to register for receiving the Overload bonus and subsequently get the bonus as many times as they recharge their airtime.

Glo Overload gives subscribers 200 percent bonus data for any new data plan or renewal from NGN 2,000 and above. Consequently, subscribers get 2GB of data for NGN 2,000 worth of data they buy, 4.5GB for NGN 3,000 data plan, 12GB for NGN 5,000 data plan and 24GB for NGN 8,000 worth of data plan they purchase.

Also, Glo subscribers stand a chance to become 100 times richer in cash every time they recharge with NGN 200 and above or buy data bundles of NGN 2,000 and above. The winners will emerge through lucky draws to be done electronically throughout the duration of the promo.

This is pretty cool. Today a friend of mine got 24gb instead of 8gb when he activated the N8000 data plan after dialling *200#. That's x 3. Hmmmm maybe I need to go get a Glo sim o.

Sir, You should get all the sims that have network coverage in your area.  By so doing, you will be patronizing any of the service providers with "mula".  There has been a tweak on Etisalat browsing data for the past 10 months and I turn deaf ears to it thinking that Etisalat signal is very poor in my area as a result of past experience. Alas! I was deadly wrong, a trial convinced me that Etisalat signal is even better than both MTN and GLO which I initially judged as the best.  Hence, you should have all the sims.

Best regards,

Aare MacFally
