My Boss pls this is what am experiencing presently in my blog.like on Tuesday I had more than 5€ With about 2000 pageviews but yesterday it barely came up to 1€ with the same statistics,it's really embarrassing, okay like lastweek when I tried to google out some answers, I came across those who had similar issues in other forums who were advised to block low paying ads from my site, they even came up with close to 200 Ad links that are known for paying low,so I copied them all and blocked them, well since then I don't think there has been any changes cos my earnings are still fluctuating in such an embarrassing manner, pls Boss what do I do,and I don't think it's the pander issue cos after you told me to reorganize my ads which I did my traffic has been steady, it's just this earning issue.

Hello Prince Nuel de First,

Welcome to the roller coaster world of AdSense. The fluctuations in earnings which your website is experiencing is a normal occurence and something that you should expect. By the time you have up to 20,000 subscribers or more, the earnings will gradually become uniform.

Unfortunately, there is really no straight set of procedures that can remedy the situation. The contents of different websites are not the same and what works for one person or one type of website may not necessarily work for another.

Most times you just have to continue trying out the different techniques obtained from your research to see if you can get improved performance. Improvement in AdSense earnings requires continuous experimentation until you find something that works better than what you had previously.

Blocking low paying ads is one strategy but if the ads you are blocking do not normally show up among the ads on your site then blocking them will make no difference. Remember the ads that show on a site are related to the content of the website and also the geographic location of the visitor.

Something we have tried in the past is to visit our website and take a look at ads that we feel may not be relevant enough and of much interest to our visitors and we can block those ones. However you have to be careful with this strategy because some of the irrelevant ads you see actually have sort of high click value.

To see the ads that show up on your website and to be able to click on them to check their url, you can use this tool called the google sandbox. You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login Enter your URL and select Nigeria then click "Show Google Ads" to see the ads that usually appear on your website. You can click them without fear because the sandbox is just a testing tool.

Another thing you may want to try is to change all your website links to blue , i.e the same as the adsense links, instead of that brownish colour it is now and stop using All capitals, instead use Title Case (capitalis the first letter in each word) - the reason for these steps is to make the ads blend as well as possible with the other links on the page.

In summary, the advice I have is to continue researching various methods and read the Adsense Secrets 4 in the library to see if you can learn anything new.

Something else I noticed about your website (but cant say if it affects your earnings) is that when you click on the post titles on the home page, you are not taken to the actual page with the full details. Rather the URL is the same as your home page so you are taken back to the homepage which shouldn't be the case.

Leave it for God, don't worry yourself. Leave it for God, don't cry no more.

Ha ha ha. 20,000 sounds big abi? It won't be easy but you will eventually get there if you keep pushing. The more subscribers you have the more steady and regular your earnings will be.
