Title: Tips to Get an Approved Adsense Account
Post by: [Not Shown, Login to View] on Dec 10, 2012
The simple secret to getting an approved adsense account is to play the game according to Google rules. Not getting approved by adsense simply means your site/blog is violating one or more Google policies. You need to put the steps outlined below into consideration if you want you adsense account to be approved without any ado.

1. Add Proper Meta Tags
Make sure you have added the necessary Meta tags that best describe your blog before applying for adsense.

I don’t know how to write & add Meta tags: Learn & Generate Search Engines Friendly Meta Tags

2. Original Content
Don’t ever copy and paste contents from the other website/blog, if you do, Google will know and this can be a stumbling block from getting adsense approval. Not that you cannot use other people’s idea, but make sure the idea is rewritten in your own understanding to make it unique. Before you apply for adsense, make sure you have written at least 50-100 quality posts

3. Custom Domain Name
Don’t ever apply for adsense with sub-domains such as mysite.blogpot.com. Though they accept that in the old days, but now, you application will not be approve without a custom domain name. You can get a domain name from Namecheap (www.m.ng44.com/namecheap) . Getting a custom domain name portray you to adsense team as a serious person ready for work.

4. Organic Traffic
Before you apply for adsense, your blog must have a reasonable amount of organic and non-search traffic. Organic traffic simply means traffic from search engines and other places like social networks or offline sources.

5. Include Pages
You need to create pages for contact us, about us, privacy policy, site map and (optionally) terms & condition pages. You need to do this in order to get approved..

6. Apply for Adsense
You can now apply for adsense once you know you have fulfilled step 1-5. Make sure you cross check the information you supplied during registration very well.

In conclusion, I will tell you don’t rush, just be patient, work on your blog traffic, produce quality contents (search engines love them). If truly you want adsense to approve you, don’t use any other ad network such as infolinks, chitika, etc during this time. These tips have work for so many publishers and I believe it will work for you provided you dance according to the tune.

[The above message was sent to me by a successful online business guru, so i feel everyone asking question about adsense should read this. Moreover, please let's stop rushing to apply for adsense as we have been advised by our Mentors, personally i applied to adsense with www.weightlossguidenigeria.blogspot.com and was rejected so i know they are not cut out for play, i have ten original post on that blog, you may wish to check it out. I dont plan applying again soon, may be towards the end of next year or even 2014. Let us take time to work on our content before rushing to this adsense thing, meanwhile you can try your hands on other online businesses before then]

this is very informative Grace and i agree with Yomi who also complimented the post. As long as we are in Nigeria, i suggest we go by the rules you stated in this post except you have someone that would help you get one in Uk, US or other countries that do not have bad name like us.
once again, it was a good post.

Yomi dear, i never got one that worked for my blog. the one Adeseye got for me still did not work because the smart adsense people would not allow me use it and instead disapproved it again.
so i am going to wait until i have a proper domain website with original posts before going for adsense again.
the thing is that the addynamo on my blog is as slow as a snail in yielding income . i wonder if there is any other online business that yields income?

not that dear. i think they have already sort of marked my blog and so would not allow me use any adsense that they did not approve specifically for my blog.
If i had a website with my domain name (not my blog), they would have accepted it.
its really frustrating using other means of ppc.

Grace thanks a lot for posting this. These are the exact same conclusions we got from our recent research and I've been meaning to do a post about this but seems you beat me to it (and saved me the effort as well). I have made a very small modification to the topic and also set it as sticky so that it always appears at the top of the AdSense board because this is the info that everyone needs to know.

The present reality is that Google now wants to see as much evidence as possible to show that you have built a website that you are serious about. This means that you have to do all that you can to really show them. In fact in one write up I read someone even suggested that in addition to doing all of the things that Grace mentioned above, registering your domain for two years instead of one year might also help because google adsense also checks your site's domain registration details so if they see that you have registered for two years at a stretch it will add to the impression that this is probably not just another crappy, anyhow website thus they would be even more inclined to approve.

Now all that is left is for members to try out these strategies and report their findings.

On the issue of a custom domain, we suspect that this is the reason why many blogspot blogs are now being rejected, even those that have a lot of original posts like chimummy's own. It seems that they now want only domains and no more sub domains like .blogspot.com

Hello Chinny, Some of the information in the ebooks are getting a bit dated in light of very recent developments.

Are you applying with a blogspot blog or Wordpress site?

First though, make sure your site meets all the criteria talked about above before going ahead to apply.

Thank you Grace for your clear and informative piece. Others will surely learn from your experience.

I understand from other sources where I read up about Adsense bids and approvals that:

.....minimum of 25 original posts ( as at then), of about 500 words each,
.....About us Page
.....Contact us Page
.....Privacy policy, including how you use the information you gather, as well as
.....Disclaimer  statements,

Are very important things Google considers when one applies for the Adsense account.

As for me, my website is still new, and I' m trying to get regular content for the site.

I hope you find this relevant, especially as you have had more time to work on your site.

Cheers!
