Title: Facebook ban or Not? What to do?
Post by: [Not Shown, Login to View] on Apr 16, 2018
Dear All, I set up a Facebook ad a few days ago and Facebook team said they would review it and revert. I was very happy when a few hours later, I got a mail saying the ad has been approved.  When i logged in to check as required, I was informed my profile picture was not good enough and I should change it. This I did.

Since then, whenever I try to log in, I'd get a message saying they are still reviewing the picture I sent.

Does this mean I have been banned? If so, what do I do? What then happens to the advert that has been approved? Will it run?

If your profile picture for your account is what you are referring to then NO you have not been banned and I dont think this will affect your advert

Thanks Administrator Tony. Your answer has given me hope and my faith is renewed.

However, what do I need to do? Do I wait, hoping they will get back to me? As it is, I don't think the advert has started running.

Also, I would like to ask whether there is anyone in this forum who has experienced such a thing and what was the outcome? Your experiences will really help me to understand the situation better.

Thanks

Yes you should probably wait or try to repeat the action (i.e upload a new profile image).

If your advert is not running it could possibly be due to other reasons. To confirm if the ads are running, check the advert statistics. Try visit the following link to see if it works:

Bless you Administrator Tony.

I used the link you sent, but I still got the same response. I could not sign in and the response was still the same. "We're still reviewing the picture you sent to us. You can't be on Facebook for now. We're always concerned about your security......"

That means, I can't even attempt to re send the pix as you advised. It means the only option is to wait, Abi?

I would still like to hear from others who have experienced this same situation to know what other options there are.

Thank you so much.

Okay now I understand better. You didn't provide the full message before especially the part about "You can't be on Facebook for now..."

Yes obviously that means you will not be able to log in but I think it is best to wait. Sometimes their reviews could take days. I suggest you wait for a couple of days and see what happens.

But help me understand better:

1. Is this a new facebook account?

2. Did this start happening when you changed your facebook profile picture?

3. If I may ask, what was wrong with the old profile picture and which one did you change it to?

4. What is your page about and what exactly are you advertising?

Yes, Administrator Tony. It is a new Facebook account. I opened it when I was made to understand that a new account would be better to use to run an ad campaign, with a new page.

I put the profile pix before putting together the ad on Friday. I had had problems with attaching the picture when I opened the account so I skipped it at that time.

I don't know what was wrong with the picture. They mentioned something about it not being clear in the mail where they asked me to change it. I changed it to another picture where my face was showing better.

My page is Famous Blogger and it's promoting blogging, web hosting, as well as other offers. This ad is the first and it's about blogging and web hosting.

Thank you so much for your concern. I apprecIste you and all the team for your useful ideas.

Okay. From your explanation I think the best is just to wait for a few days and see.

I have not experienced this before and haven't really heard of anyone who experienced it. Although its been long since I last created a facebook profile so maybe their procedure may have changed.

Re-sending Today May 1, 2018

Good morning Administrator Tony, dear friends.

This is the update on the issue of the Facebook account and the advert which was supposedly approved.

I was finally able to log in a few days ago from another device and used their ' Report a problem' menu to report the issue. After this I was able to log in on my computer yesterday.

When I went to the ad manager to check the ad, I discovered it was flagged and stopped from delivering. I then appealed the decision and explained the issue with the profile photo.

However, they later replied saying they have looked at the ad again and will not reactivate it.

What can I do now? The ad was for a web hosting company which I am promoting on a CPA platform.

Reactions and ideas please? Thanks.

ADDENDUM             May 1, 2018

What is advisable in view of the above update?

Incidentally, in the intervening period, I have done more work on the pages and have got some followership and traffic, and even a 5.0 review rating! Is it advisable to abandon this page and go back to my old facebook account to set up a new page and then start building it up afresh, or try to amend the advert and landing page and retry the advert on this same page?

I am expecting other forum members who have ever had an issue with Facebook to share what they know here.

Thank you in anticipation.
