Menus are best created using HTML unordered lists and anchor tag but it will be cool you stylize it with a little CSS. You can check this site: www.littlewebhut.com

anchor_mob's solution is best if you are buiding your site the programmatic way writing the code yourself or using a software like dreamweaver. But if you are building with wordpress or blogspot and you just want a normal menu without much fancy styles you don't need to worry about CSS or other codes because they already have in-built features for menus. So Prof.max, what are you using to build your website and how exactly do you want your menu to look (if you have a sample website that has the kind of menu you want please drop the link too)

Thanks a lot for your reply. well am using note pad to practice along side with my M.O.B e-book. then i just came up with this idea to build a website that have menu buttons(home, news, ebooks, contact, about etc.) like that of www.ng44.com. Though i have checked through the internet but i keep getting results that it can only be built using or linking both CSS and HTML. Please i really need to be clarified about this part of website design.

If you are using notepad then you are doing what I called programmatic way in my response (i.e actually writing the code).

But if you are building with wordpress (which wordpress was built with) or blogspot and you just want a normal menu without much fancy styles you don't need to worry about CSS or other codes because these software already have in-built features for menus. So Prof.max, what are you using to build your website and how exactly do you want your menu to look (if you have a sample website that has the kind of menu you want please drop the link too).

Keep studying the ebooks and you will learn about blogspot and wordpress.

That site is built with Wordpress. Not that you can't use CSS for that but learn blogspot or wordpress and you can create menus without worrying about any CSS

You must have made an error in your code.

Tell us what steps exactly are you performing and include any code that you are using
