If you are in Nigeria and have a Paypal account, I guess you may be having some problems with it as Paypal is not really open to Nigerians.

Anyway, just because Paypal doesn't accept Nigerian residents from registering, that doesn't mean that Nigerians who have residence or an address in a Paypal country can't use Paypal.

Paypal places both ip and billing restrictions to Nigeria and so this means that you can't safely use Paypal with a Nigerian ip address or a Nigerian debit/credit card.

Infact, most Nigerians who use Paypal safely while in Nigeria do so by making use of US billing addresses and a US VPN service.

If you have received some money into your Paypal account and want to withdraw them while you are in Nigeria or any other Paypal non supported country, you can do this safely without limiting your Paypal account.

First of all, you have to get a US bank account and this is where Payoneer comes in. Payoneer allows account holders to operate a sort of virtual US bank account and this is what their US payment service is all about. When you have a Payoneer account, you'll be able to activate a US bank account and then you'd be given a US account details which will contain your checking number and routing number. Those would be the detail you need whenever you want to receive payments into a US bank account.

Personally, I have actually withdrawn money from my Paypal account right here in Nigeria using Payoneer's mastercard and the money was paid in Naira.

How to do it
===========
- First of all apply for a Payoneer Mastercard if you have not got one yet
- Wait and receive your card, activate it using a 4 digit PIN you should keep in memory
- Initiate the US payment service
- Log into Paypal and link your Payoneer US bank account to Paypal
- Choose to withdraw to bank from Paypal
- Paypal credits your account within 2 to 3 days
- Payoneer informs you that your account has been credited
- Withdraw from a local ATM in Nigeria using your Payoneer mastercard and PIN

How to link your Payoneer US bank account to Paypal
=========
- Log into Paypal and choose to add bank account
- Enter the bank details contained in your Payoneer US payment service
- Click to confirm
- Paypal will send some payment to your account
- Copy and confirm the payments back to Paypal
- Account is linked to Payoneer and you can now receive payments to your US bank account

Thanks for this hot information.

i have questions for you
1. Did you use the same US virtual address to open paypal and payoneer account?
2. Which or let me say how did you get a US phone number to open your account and did paypal call to verify your us phone number.
3. which vpn service do you normally use to access your paypal account since a nigerian ip address is a no-go area for us paypal.

please reply. thanks!

Good day big Brother Umu. Thanks for your contributions so far in the house. God bless you sir. I see that the information you posted on using payoneer to receive PayPal earnings right here in Nigeria is dated back to 2014. I want to know if that method is still valid with respect to PayPal in particular please. Thank you in anticipation. Remain blessed my brother.
bless me o Lord & make me a blessing to others

Hello blessed, it seems that this method no longer works because paypal no longer allows you to use the Payoneer US Bank account for verification.

Israel you have to provide more details about your request. When you say paid with Paypal, do you mean that you have some money already in your Paypal account that you want to withdraw or do you mean that you want to know what to do so that you will be making money that is then paid into your Paypal account. These are two different (but related) issues so please specify

I want to know how to receive money with Paypal in Nigeria.I don't have any money in it yet. I've heard so many stories,, I don't know which one to follow. Some say it's best to have someone abroad and all. I also heard that Paypal give you issues when you start making a lot of money. I have a Payoneer card but I'm just confused about the whole thing

Hello Israel, I do log in to the forum as often as possible. You may not always have instant answers to your questions but we always do our best to respond as early as possible. Sometimes when my answers delay its usually because I am doing more research to find the answer to questions asked.

We are also working on an upgrade and overhaul of the forum and our entire support system but I cannot say when that would be complete or ready at this time. Please note that we are very much committed to this community and growing it but every good thing takes time.

I will also advise that you develop the habit of also searching for answers via Google instead of waiting and waiting too long.

Regarding your Fiverr question, yes you can use payoneer as a quick Google search using your exact question would reveal. You can get more information on this at these links:

And regarding paypal question you asked, most of what you heard is correct as already stated earlier in this thread (if you read all the posts). The method listed here no longer works. At this time, you cannot withdraw from a Nigerian Paypal account so you should not use it for receiving payments. The only way out is if you have a non-Nigerian paypal account that is allowed to receive payments. Or to work with merchants who pay with Payoneer card.
Leave it for God, don't worry yourself. Leave it for God, don't cry no more.
