Please, how do I place ads on my wordpress site? I have no idea about codes and u want to place clickable ads as well images that are clickable to link to a page.

If the ad code you want to place is given to you by another website then go to the page where you want to place it and in your edit page from dashboard, look on top the edit page by the right hand you will see Visual and Text. Click on ''Text" then paste the copied code where you want it then update page.
OR
If you want it at your side bar widget area so that it shows by the side go to "widgets" then choose a 'Text' widget and paste it inside then save it.

For clickable image (or clickable text), in the edit page from dashboard highlight the image (or text) and then select the little chain-like structure icon above that says insert/edit link (when you hover your mouse on it). Click on it and insert the URL of the page you want to link the image to in the box provided and click update. You can choose open link in new window if you want it to open in another window before you update.

You will see the icon where you have the edit options like Bold, Italics, etc. on the top when you edit the page. Just hover your mouse to get the one that says insert/edit link.

Thanks. Please, am still confused. When you say if the code is given to me by another site, please explain that further.

What if I want to place my own ads, how do I go about it?

Also, if I place the code in the page as explained, how then do I make it visible on the front end.

Again, is there any other way to place these ads without using codes

There are no other ways to express your opinion online if you don't know codes. They are called html code. That is the language that websites understands. Luckily for all of us, softwares has made most of all these work look simpler, but along the line; you will still find out later that you still need to know a bit of some codes.e.g. if you want to sell anything online as an affiliate, the code they will give you is still in the form of html that will make them know that you were the person who referred the sale.

So, my advice is get use to it and learn it. It is in the MOB course. And may I say it is very simple. IT is just this

Then, will want to confuse you further to type html in between those signs like so <html> <html>
To further confuse you. The last one will now have a slash like so </html> . Can you see that it is simple. Any other thing you will want to learn as regards that code are all the same.

It is just the words in between that you will be changing. But, with some exceptions ooo. In some cases, if you want to input code for images, it differs,

@ Metalog - U said that you had no idea about codes but I want to tell you that you have an idea but you don't know that you have the idea. The golden rule is to start reading MOB course materials from Lesson 1 to Lesson 9 and ensure that you understand all the Lessons before you start building websites either free of paid. Your statement shows that you have not read the Course Materials understandably.

In addition to the advice given to you by our Seniors - Lucy Kalu and Olajideadetutu, I admonish you to go back to Lesson 4 starting from Page 13 to Page 24 (last page) and read the following sub-headings very well:

1. How to Build a Website
2. Elementary Web Programming
3. Viewing the Page Source
4. The HTML Tag Syntax
5. Structure of a HTML Document and
6. Creating a Simple Web Page.

I can assure you that if you read all the above sub-heading diligently and understandably, your knowledge on HTML Code would have been broaden and you would no longer be a novice.

metalog the image not showing is probably due to how you are trying to access the image. If it is on your computer, you need to have it uploaded somewhere online. Please read the threads below for how others were able to solve similar issues:
